Drake Memorial Library - Frequently Asked Questions

There are 3 ways you can return library materials (additional details below):

• In person at a Drake Library book drop or at the Circulation Desk during open hours
• At any one of the participating SUNY libraries accepting returns from Brockport
• Via postal mail

You are encouraged to use the book drops located outside of the library whenever possible.

• Next to the entrance of the Drake Memorial Library

• In the Tower 3 stairwell on the west side of the library accessible via the Allen Loop

• 2/10/22 Note: The book drop located under the bridge between Drake Memorial Library and Tuttle North on New Campus Drive is temporarily unavailable due to construction.

We can also take curbside returns if you need that service, please contact us to schedule your curbside return.

• If you are no longer near Brockport and need to return materials borrowed from Drake Memorial Library:

  • Books owned or borrowed at Brockport can be returned to many SUNY libraries throughout the state. The list of campuses accepting Brockport items can be found here.

  • You may also mail items back to the Drake Library. The mailing address for returning items:

    Note: Books may be sent at lower cost by requesting "Media Mail" at the Post Office.

Receipts for returns are generated automatically and sent to your Brockport email address.  Drake Memorial Library does not charge fines for overdue materials in our collection, except for Course Reserves items.​
