Why do I have an outstanding fine on my account?

Overdue Items:

The Drake Memorial Library charges overdue fines for the following items:

Items Overdue Fine
Course Reserves $2.00
Tech Tools - 7 Day Items

$2.00

Please note that the Drake Library has a '5 Strike' system in place for overdue fines. Once fines exceed $10.00 on an account, patron borrowing privileges are suspended until the account is settled. Patrons do not need to resolve any fines that total less than $10.00.

Lost or Damaged Items:

Lost or Damaged Items are subject to the following replacement and processing fees:

Material Type Replacement Charge Processing Fee Total
All Books $75.00 $10.00 $85.00
Media $75.00 $10.00 $85.00
Tech Tools Based upon current market rate $10.00 TBD

Should a lost item be returned in good condition, both the replacement and processing fees will be completely refunded.

In lieu of replacement charges, the library will accept a new or like-new copy of the item, at the discretion of library staff.

Should your account exceed $10.00 in fines or fees, please contact the Circulation Desk at (585) 395- 2277 for further assistance to resolve any issues and to review payment options.
